I love my spot dont get me wrong. Helps my family not worry about me as much while Im off in the wilderness. And most of the time I set my custom texts before I leave but sometimes I forget. And I was hoping this app would let me change those but it doesnt. Basically worthless... Need to allow changes to the texts

Not sure what the point of this app is. It allows you to see the track you just made or view the messages you just sent. So what. I just made the track and sent the messages, I know where I was and what messages I sent. What I would like to do is use my smart phone to set my profile and set my messages before venturing out. This is a much needed feature since the Spot website is not mobile friendly. Try again Spot

I get the feeling this app was put together because someone told them they should have a mobile app. Other than showing you messages it really doesnt do anything.

Nothing for Ipad, and for the prixe we pay per year I was hopping an better apps

It works fine for monitoring a device but not administering an account. But, its not perfect. I had hoped that this app had been created for people who want to track the SPOT device not the person with the device. Therefore, it should not require input of the owners user name and password. As it is now, it means either giving people your UN and PW or them not using this app. How about logging in with the device number as they are all unique. Also, having a user selected opening map zoom level would be nice. The default zooms in too much.

App is a piece of crap. Wont work.

The app works well as a basic tracking app. I would love to see the addition of geofencing capabilities to the app for those assets which regularly move within a defined area. Far easier to get an alert if they were to be taken out of that area, than to have to remember constantly to manually check that they are still in their appropriate location.

It does a decent job to let you track your Spot Trace. The UI isnt the most intuitive and clunky. PLEASE add app notifications. Would make this app 10x more useful. So let me receive an app alert if the Spot Trace senses movement, low battery etc.

So many things wrong with this app I dont know where to start. -The keyboard wont disappear -Hangs! "Cant run now. Check in later". WTF? Cant even log in. Lets hope this gets a fix soon....

App seems good, needs notifications. Should send a notification when a new message has been received through the app.

Needs a few more options, like alerts, geofencing, ability to share position. It seems to take a long time to update the locations once in a while, which might be the tracker or system itself and not the app. Contact me if you want my input...I work on user interfaces for a living.

Ive waited a long for this app. Of course there are some features that would be awesome (ability to subscribe to a share). But overvall just what I wanted for the past 3 years!

Nice app. More features would make it a nicer app. But the banner that appears in the center of the map must go. Banner says; "No messages to display. Adjust your filter settings." I cannot make it go away.

I cant believe its taken this long for a SPOT iOS app to appear. The good news is that it works. The bad news is that is not quite done. The controls are clunky, and the map view doesnt draw a line between track points. I have a friend who used the SPOT API to create an iOS-compatible site, and hes able to draw a path on his maps (it was trivial). Lets hope theres more functionality coming soon.

This app should have push alerts for movement alerts and status updates as well.

Needs to connect the dots. Does not list location, yet has location in app. Clunky design. Poor screen quality. Web shared page works better.

Seems to work fine but is for the account user not to pass to your friends. It requires you to use your account information rather than the 99 cent app that you just paste the URL. So not handy to give to friends because they would have to have your login and password. Connecting the dots would help or number the track points otherwise you dont know the direction. Works good to hit the search icon and takes you to most recent track point or message. Better for me than the webpage on my iPhone.

My spot tracker got one single message through to my app despite trying over several weekends and many days. Performance is far less than I expected. Very disappointed.

App is half baked as others said. New features are not something I expect quickly. Would love push notifications, a better way to track trips (showing my actual route and not just a bunch of dots on a map). Most importantly though - the company does no respond to customer feedback. Very poor communication via email and Facebook page. A company that does not interact with its users is out of touch. Heavily considering selling my trace and getting a ride Scorpio.

Is anyone else having issues with the log in screen, using the IPhone 6 plus, the screen comes up to enter user name and password, as soon as you enter user name and try to go to password, both disappear, trued entering password first and them user name, same issue, is it a OS issue or an app issue?? Cannot really rate it as I cannot access it…..
